Spring in Tucson Az - 2009

Kelsey and I drove to Tucson April 20th to spend some time with Conner and Marcy's family...It is a long drive but it was so worth it. Tucson sunset. This picture is in Tracy's and Susan's back yard...BEAUTIFUL!
Kelsey was a big help with Ethan and Alexis while Mom and dad and Nana did the packing and cleaning and the moving thing....again.

Ethan is so brave...this little rocking horse is his favorite thing to climb on. he got even more brave and was soon standing with his knees against the horses head and raising his arms above his head and yelling yeah! Such an adorable sweet little boy.

And what ever Ethan has Alexis wants.....they can play so cute together...BUDDIES!

Tracy and Susan took us to Sabino canyon a couple of times. It is close to their home in Tucson. It was beautiful with the cactus and the trees and bushes leafing out and the sunshine and then this beautiful river made it a peaceful place to go walking.

Alexis loved the sticks and the sand....she was the only one who could stand in the water for very long...even though the weather was warm the water was still pretty chilly.

Ethan is a rock lover.....picking up rocks and digging in the sand with a stick keeps him happy...someday he will love throwing rocks into the river like his dad....fun in the sun.

Do you wonder where the birds go when they fly South? Tucson....I thought there were a lot of birds and many that we don't see in Utah.....There were a lot of doves around Conner and Marcy's apartment....when Alexis would hear them she would say listen....owl. We watched a mother dove sit on her nest and keep her one baby warm and then one day the baby was big enough to fly away. Here in Sabino canyon we were excited to see a beautiful cardinal....there was also a female that we didn't get a picture of. Like many birds the male is more colorful than the female.

Childrens Museum
We took a little outing to the children's museum....it was fun but not great. It had a lot to see and hands on for the kids. I think Alexis and Ethan would like it better when they get older.Ya that is a T-Rex behind Kelsey, Ethan, Marcy and Alexis.

There were many things to play with and this was one of Alexis' favorite...shopping for plastic food.

Shop till you DROP!

It's fun to pretend.....nummy!

This little aquarium was of course fake...don't tell Ethan=O

We had to see all there was to see....Alexis likes DINOSAURS.....can you see the baby dino?

The ZOO!
Our favorite outing was to the Reid Zoo. Ethan likes all the birds that roamed the zoo....here is a white peacock....so interesting to watch.

There were all kinds of animals but one of our favorite was the Giraffes....you could pay a dollar and feed them....this was Alexis' second time so she showed Kelsey how it was done....yes that is her tongue....cool eh?

Smile for the camera!

It really is a fun place to visit......smile Lexi=O

Moving

Conner and Marcy moved their little family from their Logan apartment to our house and a storage garage and then their garage got broken into so they moved their stuff from there into our garage and then from Logan to an apartment in Tucson the first week in March. They have had to move all their belonging a few times in the past month. They finally got to move into their new house which is in Sahuarita AZ......glad to be home.

Moving all their stuffff....again....one last time to Sahuarita AZ.:)

The Egbert family moved into their new home March 31st. They have had a few set backs but they have done a ton of work in a short amount of time. Tracy and Susan were so helpful in the move and came on April 1st with lunch and this house warming gift.....April fools!
The kidlins like the baby chicken.....even touched it. Zac had tied a string on its leg and so they also let the chicken out into the back yard for a bit. Kelsey being the animal lover that she is wanted to take it to Utah..........uhhhh NO! We had a GREAT time. Drove back to Utah April 2nd. Went from 70 degree weather and using the air conditioner. About an hour into Utah we were going through horizontal rain and turning on the heater....at least we didn't encounter the white stuff.....until the morning after and the ground was covered with it....Welcome Home.
